ArtNerdEm (or Emily) put together this gorgeously verdant art nouveau book cover design for the non-musical all-text version of Wicked by Gregory Maguire.

With all the violence and sex flooding the media, sometimes it’s nice to take refuge in sweet, lovely art like this Wizard of Oz piece by Dan Schoening. It’s akin to nestling into one’s childhood.

Although Lois van Baarle hates sexing up a classic character like Dorothy, I can’t help but loving that she did. So pretty!

We’ll kick things off with HelloBaby’s fabulously detailed interpretation of Dorothy and friends from L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

X-Chan’s re-imagining of Dorothy and pals is a so out of left field, I can’t help but adore it.

There are far too many awesome re-designs of the well-known characters from L. Frank Baum’s classic story not to dedicate a day to them.

I love the style of this series by Jessica Oyhenart. She has yet to create her version of the Tin Man though, so be sure to go to her DeviantArt gallery and compliment her work while pestering her about completing this series.
