It’s Comics Fashionista X-Men Sunday!

Kevin Wada and fellow illustrator and friend, Max Wittert, decided to do a fashionista take on characters from X-Men to sell at APE 2011 and created this fantastic series of prints.

Tolkien really did craft the ultimate illustration of elves, didn’t he? This picture by Donna of a young Arwen certainly embodies the elegance Tolkien wrote for them.

Justin Coffee applied his charming hand-painted aesthetic to Lady Snowblood (1973), a femme fatale film noir classic in Japanese cinema. An awesome piece of art for a killer flick.

I love cartoonish pin-ups and I love me some lady villains. Wendy Chew has combined both my loves into a set of glorious pictures and I think we should all celebrate.

It’s Video Game Tuesday!

I adore how eerily ethereal (say that 5 times fast) this portrait of the lady genocide machine Samus by Masateru Ikeda is.

It reminds me of a sweet but tragic ghost story.

Everyone loves that one mini story arc in Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) where Ciel Phantomhive dolls himself up in some gorgeous drag in order to bait a lady killer.

I have seen this pink dress on so many cosplayers (male and female) over the last few years but few have approached the awesomeness that is this version by Ireal70.

I absolutely LOVE that Jessica Oyhenart-Ball painted Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers with the proportions of a normal lady.

Most fan art of video game females tends to sexualize them even more than they already are, but here is a beautiful piece of art that restores a female character’s proportions to normal.

Look at those full cheeks and gorgeous thighs! THAT is what a woman is supposed to look like.

Let’s start the day with some adorable. David Gilson has created over 50 chibi portraits of classic Disney characters and while I’ll likely end up posting them all eventually, even I can’t take that much preciousness in one sitting.

Loopydave has identified a serious issue that will occur many years from now. If you can name all these ladies, I will be muy impressed.

I will always be a sucker for a lady with attitude and I’d say Maleficent qualifies. I love this intimidating depiction of her by Belldandies.

Torsor put together this spectacular array of female ass-kickers and I am LOVING it.

This funny panel was created by Zimmay before we learned that in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe Calypso was Davy Jones’ lady love.

I think I like this version better.
